Freedom Fighter Kamaladevi Hazarika was tricked to adopt Christian!

Kisne Feka: An image of an old lady claiming Kamaladevi Hazarika had been widely circulated across social media. The viral posts claim that a “famous revolutionary of Assam, Kamala Devi Hazarika,” had rebuked a Christian missionary attempting to trick her into converting to Christianity. Christian missionaries are accused of illegally converting Hindus.

Foolproof: The viral claim is false. According to an India Today article published on April 3, 2018, the woman in the viral image is identified as a freedom fighter, Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay. She joined the INC (Indian National Congress) in 1927 to support the freedom struggle. Kamaladevi was honored with the Padma Bhushan in 1955 and the Padma Vibhushan in 1987. There was no information about any personality named Kamala Devi Hazarika from Assam.

BJP made a human pyramid to host its flag!


Fake News:
 An image of four people standing on top of one another so they could raise the flag of the Bharatiya Janata Party on a pole has gone viral on social media. While sharing it, many BJP leaders claimed that BJP workers were hoisting their party flag by forming a human pyramid in Tamil Nadu.

Foolproof: The viral claim is false. A tweet was shared by Shirisha Swaero Akinapall, state spokesperson of BSP, on May 31, 2022, in which a similar image can be seen. However, the flag in this picture was of BSP and not of BJP. The flag was copied from the StarPNG website and morphed into the viral image.

 Artificial milk in the Indian market!

 Kisne Feka: A video of artificial milk made from chemicals is being circulated on WhatsApp, with claims that this is how milk is manufactured to meet India’s daily requirement of 50 crore liters and that people might stop drinking milk after knowing the truth about the milk industries. Adulteration factories complained against the owner of the respective factory.

In addition, he explained how the chemical is either hot or dangerous, and the person is holding it with tongs, and after mixing water in it, ‘artificial milk’ is made. He added that this video proves that India’s only milk supplier isn’t cows and buffaloes. The video also tells five tests that a person can perform to check if the milk is pure or artificial.

Foolproof: The viral claim is false. Many videos are similar, where water is added to a darker liquid chemical to form a milky white emulsion. Those videos are of the at-home preparation of Phenyl and not milk.

The formula for white Phenyl is Phenyl Concentrate (Turkey Red Oil + Pine Oil) and water, and multiple phenyl manufacturers sell only the concentrate, which can then be mixed with water by the user.

Fake News: Viral video shows Uttar Pradesh police thrashing people involved in the recent communal violence in Kanpur, UP.

Foolproof: The viral video is from the Anti-CAA protest in 2019 which took place in Nakhas Chowk in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.
