Handmade Cards by Sanjam (as she calls it on her Instagram and Facebook page) has a beautiful collection of greeting cards which are specially made to order.

“My father was skeptical about this idea because he wanted me to take up a ‘safe’ course like B.Ed but he knew that I am also interested in cooking so he made me meet a lot of people and was convinced to send me abroad for cooking courses. However, that didn’t work out and eventually this idea began to shape up, it took time but my father was impressed with the kind of work I was doing.” She says, on being asked about parental support.

If you want a last minute gift for someone special or your loved one, then Sanjam can come to your rescue. “I can make greetings an hour before I get the order but I would need atleast five hours to make a cake. I usually like to speak to the person to know about the one they want to make the card for. However, for me, it is not possible to meet every person, so the conversation happens on the phone.”

Her new invention THE CARD BOX takes around five days to make, “The moment I posted pictures on Facebook of my Box Card, three orders flushed in. It’s not that I can make it there and then, I need time to think of ideas and themes that can go well with the personality of the person.”

For her, it is an amazing feeling when her cards are loved by the customers and she says that someday she would like to open a café that serves baked stuff along with beautiful cards to buy. You can contact her and purchase the cards on her facebook page:
