In the Indian sports awards 2015, long-distance runner Lalita Babar has been named as the sports person of the year
Lalita Babar has recently qualified for Rio Olympics in the 3000m steeplechase event and is the current Indian National record holder. Babar has also won a bronze medal in 2014 Incheon Asian Games and is Asian Champion currently.
Bablir Singh the Hockey Legend has been conferred with the lifetime Achievement Award. Apart from Babbar gymnas,t Dipa Karmakar was named as the Breakthrough sports person of the year.
