Keep them hydrated: Give them large quantity of liquids such as milk, most important water that they should try to drink after regular intervals. Large amount of caffeine should be avoided. Rather than coffee, you can give them orange juice, energy drinks and anti- oxidant rich green tea. Another good option can be a banana shake.

“Big three meals in a day slow the physical and mental processes of my daughter. Right now, she is preparing her 10 class exams. So, good food is on the priority for me. Rather than giving her three big meals, I have balanced them into 5 to 6 small meals. It includes toast, snacks or fruit with a piece of a cheese”, says Rina.

Include Almonds and eggs in the breakfast: Sometimes while studying, students often miss their breakfast but never let your child miss the breakfast. Particularly when they have a breakfast that includes almonds that would enhance their memory and eggs would stabilize their energy level.

“While studying, when I feel sleepy I usually have a cup of coffee but as mom says it is not good for health and can have bad effects on memory. So, I am substituting it with green tea. That rejuvenates my energy level and help me to concentrate better”, says Priyangna.

Opt for healthy snacks: Whenever your child feels hungry or exhausted you can always serve them healthy snacks. Such as dry fruit nuggets, dry pumpkin seeds that can satiate their hunger and taste buds too.
