BCCI not changing its decision

There has always been the demand to introduce cricket in the Olympics. This was never taken seriously, the International Cricket Council themselves have tried this time. Meanwhile, the richest board BCCI is becoming a wall to introduce Cricket in Olympics.

BCCI’s attitude towards their reputation

Everything is going on track to include cricket in the Olympics. The wait is only for India’s acceptance. ICC and IOC want to include T20 cricket in the Olympics. BCCI is not accepting this decision. The reason for BCCI not including in the Olympics is its autonomy. BCCI do not want any problems to its autonomy.

BCCI do not want to share earnings with IOC

The second reason to avoid the acceptance is the earnings. If BCCI includes itself in IOC, they will have to share the earnings with IOC. BCCI is completely against this. Meanwhile, ICC is trying to manipulate BCCI in every single possible way. Without a rich board like BCCI and without a big team like India, it is impossible even to dream of a big tournament.

IOC will think of the offer only when BCCI accepts

IOC has said to ICC that cricket will be only included in the Olympics if big teams and their players will take part effectively. Through this protocol, ICC can’t move a single step ahead without India. IOC has already cleared that if there is no surety that the biggest teams and their players will participate, it will not even think on the proposal.

ICC has the deadline till September

ICC has the time till September to announce its decision to the IOC. After their decision and official announcement, IOC will move further to discuss the proposal. Indian Supreme Court has asked BCCI CEO Rahul Jauhari for a report on accepting or not accepting the proposal by ICC and IOC.
