Class X boards will soon make a comeback; here is how it can help?
Class X boards are all set to make a comeback in 2018. CBSE on Wednesday announced that class X boards will once again start in year 2018. So is it okay to bring them back? Though schools in Delhi are having a mixed reaction to this news, but do you know reintroducing boards can really help students?
The board exams will be back in which 80 percent weight age will be given to written exams and20 percent would be given to the internal assessment. Notably, the recommendations will be soon sent to HRD Minister, Prakash Javadekar for the final approval.
Reintroduction of Boards should be appreciated
Tenth boards were abolished in the year 2010. The decision was taken with the aim to improve the quality of education and to remove the flaws of Indian education system. CCE pattern was launched to lighten the stress of kids.
As Board Phobia was one of the major concerns of the parents. The decision was criticized because class tenth boards not only prepare students mentally to face the boards of class 12, but also let the students know their true caliber. And if boards will be reintroduced, students will be highly benefited.
Though some teachers believe that boards can create panic among the students, but there are some who believe board is the best way to enhance the quality of education.
“In the past years the quality of education has deteriorated. The students are passing their grades but are unaware about the facts Boards give them edge to learn the concepts and also enhance their knowledge accordingly. It will help them to face life in a better manner”, says Rama Raghavan, founder of Step up Academy.
