A little Cha-Cha can help you to stay healthy

Latin dance can add more than just a fun party thing as a new study has found that some cha -cha -cha or salsa is good for the health of your heart.

The study by the University of Illinois showed that a dance program four months, called BAILAMOS, Latinos helped older adults to walk faster and improved their physical form, which can reduce your risk of heart disease.

The researchers test was based on intervention focused on the Latin dance community could benefit 54 Spanish-speaking adults (about 65 years old, 80 percent were Mexican woman) who were not physically active.

Those who were not in classes had less improvement in their physical condition but all those, who attended the classes, saw a major improvement. They finished the walk 400 meters in about 409 seconds at the end of the study compared to 419 seconds four previous months; Total time spent on leisure weekly physical activity increased from 522 minutes to 628 minutes in the course of the study.
