The biggest initiative taken by Tata, India’s largest conglomerate, may be, is to groom and indulge approximately 300 women in leadership places. Notably the group has country’s biggest women employer (1.45 lakh).

Action taken by the tycoons to promote the new project is conducting mentoring programmes, mentored by 180 CXOs, 35 CEOs from the 45 group companies, as no. of women in CXO position has limited appearances and mostly the cornered offices are occupied by them. First will start with ‘no restriction for women executive’ to provide wider network of choices.
Motive for diversifying mentoring programme is to place more women in leadership positions and it forms a part of the gender diversity vision, idea constructed by Chairman Cyrus.
