As an entrepreneur, your mental resilience is your true weapon, maintain it!

As an entrepreneur, your mental resilience is your true weapon, maintain it!

Being an entrepreneur means having to battle 200 things at the same time. An entrepreneur is constantly working on multiple things and putting out fires daily. In such a situation they need to maintain and build their mental resilience. But how can you do that? Here are 5 strategies for young entrepreneurs to build their mental resilience.

  1. Meditation:

The 1st and foremost is practising some meditation. Meditation plays a huge role in helping you keep calm and carry on despite the stressors of the day. All you need to do is learn some deep relaxation, breathing techniques, and mindfulness that can bring you back to reality. When you are faced with a stressful situation, take five minutes from your day to dedicate some time to calming your mind and you will see the difference.

  1. Go for Counselling:

Gone are the days when people used to attach with negative stigma to counselling. Counselling is something that anyone and everyone could make use of, especially if you are someone who has an extremely stressful life and job. You can easily opt for some online counselling as they are accessible, effective, and will not consume much time.

  1. Taking a break:

More often than not it has been seen that young entrepreneurs drive themselves to a point where they feel extremely burnt out and exhausted. To avoid such a situation you must plan some breaks now and then to give yourself the relaxation and the space you need from work. You can also include some team building, exercise, or bonding with your team members during this break.

  1. Setting realistic goals and good time management:

Your business must have some short-term and long-term goals. Having unrealistic expectations or wanting to quicken the process to reach a certain benchmark is just going to cause more anxiety and frustration. So it’s always better to break down the large goals into smaller tasks and maintain a sense of progress and accomplishment.

As a business leader, you will always have to be a good time manager. This means getting things done till the last. That means not waiting till the last moment to get things done, but enforcing some structure and discipline in your life. Practice time blocking and allotting different dates or times for different tasks. This will help you manage time and also lead to less anxiety.

  1. Seeking mentorships:

Entrepreneurs can learn largely from other entrepreneurs who’ve been through this journey and are now much more established. Having a mentor in this stressful journey could not only help you build mental resilience but also help you build your business much better time management.
