World Laughter Day: Laughing is therapeutic. It is hard to find people smiling and laughing in today’s World. To remind the World, May’s first Sunday is celebrated as World Laughter Day every year. Therefore, on the event of World Laughter Day 2022, we bring to you such comedy shows that you can watch with your family and make the day more worthy.

Here are six sitcoms you should watch this World Laughter Day with your family

Khichdi

Parikh Parivar, they are one of the most bizarre Gujarati families. Their punches will tickle your funny bones. The show binds an emotional connection with every character. The illogical and absurd corrections by Praful to Hansa’s poor vocab will leave you rolling on the floors. The series was revived in the same form, and season 2 is available at Disney Hotstar.

Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai

Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai is hands down an epic cult classic comedy series you cannot stop watching. It seems to be unmatched even today. A show about an upper-middle-class Gujarati family got one of the best responses from the viewers and critics alike. The show starring Ratna Pathak Shah, Satish Shah, Sumeet Raghavan, Rupali Ganguli, and so on, has one of the best on-screen equations with an entire ensemble cast. Ratna Pathak finds everything her daughter-in-law does extremely middle class to Roshesh and his breath-choking poetry skills. It is just a laughter roller coaster ride. The second season of Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai is available on Disney+ Hotstar.

Office -Office

One can undoubtedly claim it as a well-written and well-acted show. This Indian-centric show focuses on red tape, corruption, and Indian bureaucracy and how ordinary people struggle hard to get their work done. All characters were memorable: the frustrated Musadilal played by Pankaj Kapoor, the gossipmonger Usha Ji, or the gluttony Bhatia Sahab who always had a space for one Samosa.

The show has its own movie, and the sitcom is available on Amazon Prime.

FRIENDS

If we have to name one of the best sitcoms ever made in the World, it has to be FRIENDS. The popularity of this 10 season-long series is still very fresh.

The series is based on the day-to-day life of six adults from different backgrounds and in other professions. Critics have claimed several times that FRIENDS is not relatable. However, it is still a favourite of many. The paleontologist Ross, the perfectionist Monica, the spoiled girl Rachel, Phoebe- the flaky Chandler- with a troubled childhood, or Joey, who eats eight times a day.

You may relate to them at some point in time.

Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah

Taarak Mehta ka ooltah Chashmah, based on a weekly column, Duniya one Undha Chasma, has been running successfully since 2008. A society where people from different cultures, religions, and languages live together happily and tackle the battle of life together. However, people have argued that the show has a profusion of stereotypes, and the absence of Daya Ben has affected the TRP of the show. However, the initial seasons of TMKOC are still a dinnertime show for many households.
