Sasaram (Bihar):Muzaffarpur-based actor Falak Khan expressed her thanks to her team as their short film ‘Champaran Mutton’ progressed to the semi-finals of the Oscars Student Academy Award. The film, directed by Ranjan Kumar of FTII Pune, portrays the challenges faced by middle-class families during the lockdown when jobs were lost.

With more than 1,700 films from film training institutes worldwide nominated, ‘Champaran Mutton’ made it to the semi-finals, competing with 16 other films for the coveted honor. Falak Khan remains hopeful and confident that the film will progress to the final round.
