Sasaram (Bihar):Muzaffarpur-based actor Falak Khan expressed her thanks to her team as their short film ‘Champaran Mutton’ progressed to the semi-finals of the Oscars Student Academy Award. The film, directed by Ranjan Kumar of FTII Pune, portrays the challenges faced by middle-class families during the lockdown when jobs were lost.

Love Triumphs Amid Struggles:

The story revolves around a young man’s efforts to win over the girl he loves despite his personal struggles. With more than 1,700 films from film training institutes worldwide nominated, ‘Champaran Mutton’ made it to the semi-finals, competing with 16 other films for the coveted honor. Falak Khan remains hopeful and confident that the film will progress to the final round.
