Violent Protests at University:
The ABVP, affiliated with the ruling BJP, had been protesting at the university gate throughout the day. When the university official refused to meet them, the protests turned violent, leading to the breaking into the Vice Chancellor’s office nd attacking the Deputy Dean of Students Welfare and professors who tried to intervene. The police’s attempt to control the situation was also met with violence, resulting in detentions. The incident follows previous protests by ABVP workers, accusing the university of irregularities.

Assurances Ignored:
Despite assurances from the Vice-Chancellor, the students claimed no action had been taken. The university administration and police have not yet issued official statements about the incident or the detentions.
