Anil Kapoor’s character in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal poster was unveiled on Thursday, where he portrays Ranbir Kapoor’s father. The poster reveals a menacing and unhinged look for the 66-year-old actor, adding intrigue to his role in the upcoming film.

First Appearance Of Anil Kapoor

Anil Kapoor makes his debut in “Animal” in a striking opening scene. Seated on a wooden sofa chair and gazing into the camera, he dons an unzipped blue tracksuit. What’s particularly striking is his intense appearance, coupled with an unsettling physical ailment. His eyes seem unnaturally enlarged and darkened, and he’s connected to an IV drip, suggesting his character’s sickness. The backdrop is adorned with vibrant floral wallpaper. Anil Kapoor shared this poster on his social media account, where he introduced his role as “Animal Ka Baap…Balbir Singh!” to generate buzz and curiosity surrounding his character in the film.

Responses To Anil’s Debut

Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, Anil Kapoor’s actor son, expressed admiration with four bow-down emojis and two fire emojis on his Instagram post. Karan Boolani, Anil’s son-in-law and director of “Thank You For Coming,” reacted with a face-wearing sunglasses emoji. Bhumi Pednekar and Samiksha Pednekar, co-stars of Anil Kapoor in the same film, also used bow-down emojis in the Instagram comments, showcasing their respect and excitement for his intriguing character reveal in “Animal.”

Animal’s Concern

Animal is an upcoming mafia action film featuring Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, and Suresh Oberoi. The story delves into the underworld and revolves around the complex father-son relationship between Anil Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor, where Ranbir’s character transforms into a psychopath.

Produced as a collaboration between Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Cine1 Studios, the film was initially scheduled for an August 11 release, alongside Sunny Deol’s “Gadar 2,” under the direction of Sandeep Reddy Vanga, known for “Arjun Reddy” (2017) and “Kabir Singh” (2019). However, due to ongoing VFX work, its release has been postponed to December 1. 

Animal is set to hit theaters in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

The teaser for “Animal” is eagerly anticipated and is set to be unveiled on Ranbir Kapoor’s birthday, September 28. Anil Kapoor’s upcoming projects include “Thank You For Coming” and “Fighter.”
