Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin promptly announced an ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh for the families affected by this heart-wrenching incident.

This incident follows another recent tragedy earlier this month in Tirupathur, where seven women lost their lives in a collision involving a stationary van and a lorry. The Chief Minister announced a solatium of Rs one lakh for each affected family and Rs 50,000 for those injured and undergoing treatment.

In a separate unfortunate incident on Wednesday night in Firozabad, three men were killed after their motorcycle collided with a truck, leading them to fall onto the road and be subsequently run over by a speeding car near the Katfori outpost. The deceased were identified as Brijesh Kumar (28), Pramod Singh (34), and Gopi (33) of Firozabad. Autopsies are underway, and an investigation into the case has been initiated.

As these incidents underscore the need for heightened road safety awareness, authorities are urged to reinforce measures to prevent such tragic accidents and protect the lives of road users.
