Judge Complains Railways’ Reply: Allahabad High Court investigates inconvenience to Justice Gautam Chowdhary’s train journey. Lack of staff causes displeasure.


Prayagraj: Judge Complains in Allahabad High Court, which has requested an explanation from the general manager of North Central Railways regarding an incident that caused inconvenience to Justice Gautam Chowdhary during his train journey from New Delhi to Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

Justice’s Complaint:

The incident occurred on July 8 when the Justice, accompanied by his spouse, traveled in the AC-1 coach of train no. 12802, Purshottam Express. Unfortunately, the train was over three hours late, and despite multiple attempts to inform the TTE, no GRP personnel were present in the coach as requested by the Justice.

Justice Seeks Railways’ Explanation:

To add to the discomfort, no pantry car worker attended to their needs despite repeated calls, and even the pantry car manager, Raj Tripathi, didn’t respond to the calls. This entire episode caused significant inconvenience and displeasure to the Justice. Consequently, the judge has expressed his desire to seek an explanation from the responsible railway officials, GRP personnel, and the pantry car manager for their conduct and negligence of duty, which led to this unfortunate situation.
