Indian Railways Train Cancellations Ahead of Delhi CJP Protest: Full List of Cancelled Trains, Rajdhani Express Changes and Updated Train Schedules for October 10, 2026
Indian Railways has announced several train cancellations and schedule changes ahead of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest planned in New Delhi on October 10, 2026. The decision follows warnings of severe traffic congestion around New Delhi Railway Station and Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station during the demonstration.
According to reports published on October 9, the railway authorities have cancelled multiple Mail and Express services scheduled to reach the two major railway stations during the affected period. Several premium trains, including Rajdhani Express, Shatabdi Express, Tejas and Humsafar services, are among those affected.
The move is intended to reduce passenger inconvenience caused by anticipated road blockades and traffic disruptions around central Delhi. Travellers heading to the national capital have been advised to check their train schedules before leaving for the station.

Why Have Train Services Been Affected?
The CJP protest is scheduled to take place at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. The demonstration concerns allegations of irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, with the party demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
Railway authorities issued precautionary instructions after traffic advisories indicated the possibility of heavy congestion around New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin stations between 4 AM and 2 PM on October 10.
The disruption primarily affects selected trains scheduled to arrive during this window, particularly services departing from their originating stations after 2 PM on October 9. Some related return services have also been cancelled because the incoming trains will not reach their destinations as scheduled.
Passengers should note that not every train travelling to Delhi has automatically been cancelled. The status depends on the particular service, route and scheduled arrival time.
