Celebration difference between Republic Day and Independence Day
On Republic Day, the President hoists the Indian flag at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The President’s bodyguard and a strong cavalry unit of 200- draped in elite red coats, resplendent and golden sashes, escort the President on stage at the Republic Day parade. Then they give the order for the national anthem to begin. World leaders from various parts of the globe are invited to the celebration. The Republic Day celebration beams across the nation of more than 130 crores of people. The parade in New Delhi at the India Gate area showcases India’s military power.
On Independence Day, the people of India recall the memory of our freedom fighters, revolutionary leaders and soldiers who died protecting us and getting the country out of slavery. The Prime Minister of India hoists the flag on this day at Red Fort and addresses the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort in New Delhi.
Several parades are organized in the state capitals and district headquarters across the country to celebrate Independence Day. Citizens all over the country hoist the Indian flag to mark the day.
