Kashmir to get its 1st ever government Unani Medical College & Hospital

The Jammu and Kashmir is going to have its first-ever Government Unani Medical College and Hospital at Nawab Bagh of Ganderbal District.

The college will have an annual intake capacity of 60 BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery) students along with 60 bedded hospitals. Around 3 lakh people of 136 villages will be benefited from the services of this hospital and it will also cater to the population of adjoining districts of Srinagar, Baramulla, and Bandipora.

BHEL authorized India’s largest floating solar plant in Andhra

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited is also known as BHEL successfully authorized India’s largest Floating Solar photovoltaics (SPV) plant at NTPC Simhadri in Andhra Pradesh.

This 25-Megawatt floating SPV project covers an area of 100 acres. It will reduce water evaporation by providing shade to the covered area and will produce clean power also.

India’s 1st Para Triathlon To take place in Chennai

Chennai is all set to welcome India’s first Para Triathlon on September 26. Almost 24 para-athletes including 2 visually impaired will be participating in the event.

In the Triathlon Para athletes will have to complete a super sprint distance including 250m swimming, 7km cycling, and 1.5km running.

NITI Aayog join hands with BYJU’s to provide study material to schools  

The NITI Aayog on Thursday launched an initiative in partnership with Edutech giant BYJU’s, under which aspirational Districts’ will get free access to the company’s premium learning resources.

Under the initiative, BYJU will also provide “free” coaching to over 3,000 “meritorious” students of classes 11th and 12th. This coaching is offered by Aakash Institute, for engineering & medical entrance examinations.

IAF will organize an air show over Dal Lake

To encourage the youth in Jammu & Kashmir to join the Air Force, the IAF is all set to conduct an air show above the Dal Lake in Srinagar on September 26. The theme of the show is “Give Wings to Your Dreams”. The show will be witnessed by over 3000 students.

The show aims to develop a passion among the students to realize their dreams. Along with the students, 700 teachers will also be present at the venue.

Retail inflation eases to a 4-month low

Retail Inflation dips from 5.59% in the previous month to a 4-month low of 5.3% in August. This was led by subdued prices of food articles and a high base effect.

According to the data released by the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation, Inflation based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) remained within the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) tolerance band for the 2nd conservative month.
