From 1st January it has been decided to provide all vegetarian hot meals in economy on all domestic sector flight between 61-90 minutes flight. The national carrier has also decided to strike off both tea and coffee from both its lunch and dinner menu.

However, the airline should have first carried out a passenger survey, which is an industry practice before affecting any change in menu. Airlines world over carry out customer surveys before taking such decisions. But Air India is very quick in taking decisions.
