  • The Great Heist (El Robo del Siglo) (Netflix): Based on the true story of a 1994 bank robbery that acquired international notoriety in Colombia, the show narrates the fairly thrillerish, factual account of how a gang of thieves managed to drain out of a bank vault a ridiculous amount of money with what seemed to be perfect precision.
  • Good Girls (Netflix): This darkly comedic crime drama centers around three suburban moms in a desperate situation who choose to rob a grocery store. Their small act of rebellion turns quickly into a dangerous situation with local criminals, eventually leading the trio to pull off elaborate capers.
  • The Sticky (Amazon Prime Video): This comedy-drama fits into the genre of heist films, inspired by the true story of the “Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist”. Telling the story of a maple syrup farmer who desperately pulls off a heist to steal from Canada’s own strategic maple syrup reserve.
  • Prison Break (Disney+ Hotstar / Amazon Prime Video): Although this isn’t a “heist” in terms of stealing cash or specific items, “Prison Break” is the ultimate escape-heist series. It is the story of a structural engineer who purposely has himself incarcerated to break his innocent brother out of a maximum security prison, requiring intense planning and execution.
