Starbucks in a Latte trouble! Who is the cu(l)p-rit?
Starbucks is one coffee shop that many of us can’t do without. But when cocoa comes at the cost of threat to safety and privacy, we might want to rethink stepping into it.
A five year old and his mother found a hidden mobile camera under the sink inside a ladies washroom at a Starbucks in Lancaster on 15th July at around 10:30 a.m.
The mother is reported to have said, “My son used the restroom first and I used the restroom after him. I noticed he was staring at the sink a little bit perplexed. I asked him what was wrong and he said, ‘Mommy, why is there a phone under there?’”
The deputies discovered that the cellphone was on video-recording mode. However, there is not yet any clarity on where the video was being sent and on how long the video may have been recording.
Detectives are waiting for a court order before investigating the mobile’s contents to figure out who it belongs to.
Starbucks has not responded to the media request for comments yet.
