As if the plight of Maharashtra Farmers was not enough, it is now the turn of farmers in the East Coast state of Odisha.
According to officials, twelve districts in the state are facing a drought like situation. The crop loss is estimated at 33 percent, and more than 250 Thousand hectares of cropping land is affected.
These districts include Puri, Balasore, Jajpur, Khurda, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Boudh, Kalahandi, Kahdhamal, Nabarangpur, Nayagarh and Subarnapur.
