Myanmar completed 100 days of democracy

To celebrate the century of Republic of the Union of Myanmar (also known as Burma), crowd gathered at NLD (National League of Democracy) headquarters, Yangon to witness the historic victory.

Transiting the change away from military rule to a sovereign state of South East Asia was not easy but new code of conducts and policies emerged.

The conference called “The 21st Century Panglong Conference” was held and hopes to draw inspiration from the Panglong Agreement of 1947, three ethnic groups signed.

In last year’s election campaign constitutional transition was slipped away to decrease the political power of the country’s army, Burmese Army. This was among one of the promises of Ms Suu Kyi.
