According to reports, the government is looking forward to change the legacy of British era by presenting the union budget in month of January instead on February.
Though the final decision is yet to be taken on the same but some sources said that the government is considering complete the budget exercise before the end of financial year so that departments get money from the start of the year instead of may.
Notably, this will also end the British legacy of presenting Budget in the end of February. The move has come at a time, when the centre has decided to introduce slew of changes in economic policy from next year.
