Social messaging application, WhatsApp has introduced another great feature and this feature will enable you to keep your favourite chat on the top of the list.
WhatsApp has updated a new feature, which will allow the user to keep their favourite chats on the top. The Facebook-owned application is one of the most used apps in India as well as in the World.
The unwanted messages received from contacts can make the task difficult for us to keep our favourite or important chats on the top. To resolve this issue, whatsApp will soon introduce a new feature which will enable you to pin those contacts on the top of the list.
As per reports, WhatsApp’s beta version on Android allows users the ability to pin up to three chats on the top. It is said that this new feature is now live for WhatsApp Android beta version which means, if you are running WhatsApp beta version 2.17.162 and 2.17.163, you should able to use the new feature.
Method: How you can pin a chat at the top?
There are three simple steps to pin a chat on the top. First, open WhatsApp and tap-hold on the conversation which you want to pin. Second, after this a dialogue box will appear on the right side on the top of the screen there you will find the pin icon right next to the delete, mute and archive option which featured at the top. Third, select the pin icon and the chat will appear on the top of the list. Notably, users will able to pin to three chats at the top, if you try to pin another chat after pinning the three conversations it will display a notification on the screen that ‘You can only pin up to 3 chats’.
Notably, there is also an option to unpin WhatsApp chats whenever you need, you can unpin the chat by long pressing the option, and disable the pin icon.
This cool feature is in WhatsApp’s beta version and has not rolled out to stable version till now.
