Google on Monday dedicated a doodle to mark the 97th birth anniversary of yoga guru BKS Lyengar.
Three animated Google Doodles are appearing on the Google’s homepage showing Lyengar performing different asanas.
Bellur Krishnmachar Sundararaja lyengar was born in year 1918 in a poor family of South India. He was born in year 1918, he was among 13 children, whom only 10 funded the style of yoga known as lyengar yoga.
In year 2004, lyengar was named among one of the most influential people in the world by Time magazine.
He died in August 2014 at age of 95.
