We live in a world where rape, molestation, sexual harassment and abuse against woman is one of the forefront issues in any discussions.
Over time, the crimes against woman has risen. Even in the backdrop of the 21st century and “tolerant” India we claim to be living in, violence rates have not seen a drop.
This video gives a very strong social message. A misconception, many would say is that a woman wearing short clothes is “asking for it”.
Well, to put it clearly, there are two flaws in this statement. First,this is not a misconception people have, this is something they strongly believe in and according to them, this is a fact. Second, girls never “ask for it”. They wear whatever they want to, they are free and liberal. This doesn’t mean that they want it.
The video very correctly tries to reach this same lesson to all the viewers and all the people who hold such ardent beliefs.
