After releasing a brief teaser of the Phablet on Facebook, the China based mobile manufacturer is once again expected to take the smartphone market by storm with the launch of the Redmi Note phablet on Thursday.

The Redmi Note features a 5.5-inch 720×1280 pixel IPS-LCD display with an approximate pixel density of 267ppi. Featuring dual-SIM support with dual standby, the Xiaomi Redmi Note is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MTK6592 SoC, coupled with Mali-450MP4 GPU and 2GB of RAM and a 3100mH Battery.


The phone runs on 4.3 Jellybean with a MIUI v5 skin. It features a 13 megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash as well as a 5 megapixel front camera. The phone also has 8GB of built-in memory which can be expanded with the help of a micro-SD card (up to 32GB). In terms of connectivity options, the Redmi Note include GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Direct and hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB with OTG, and GPS/ A-GPS.

The Phablet will be available through its official partner, Flipkart and might be available for sale on December 2nd and is expected to be priced somewhere around Rs. 9999.
