If it makes you feel any better that you are not the only person who finds it difficult to access Google voice search, thanks to out typical Indian accent for English, then you are in for some fresh news here. Thanks to Google’s active R&D, the problem seems to have found a solution!


Due to a thick accent Google finds it difficult to understand what Indians actually want to say. Majority are unwilling to carry out the cumbersome long texts for searching something, the voice search was invented to solve this issue. But the purpose is being served now with Google finally coming up with the voice search, which actually understands and recognizes the Indian accent. A boon to every Indians across the globe, yes! The Indians are everywhere.

In a recent show Google demonstrated certain features to call upon the nearest movie theatres and to know the reviews and trailer of the same.


Sandeep Menon, Google India’s Head of Marketing said “We deployed 700 volunteers across India to collect voice samples and used our engines to analyze the data,” he further added, “Since all the analysis is cloud based, the system learns and gets better as more people use it,” as in why more Indian’s should use the service now.

Menon also stated that instead of throwing key words to queries, Google is now advanced enough to give you direct answers of your questions. ‘Call Home’ or sending messages to someone options has become easy to use now.


Google voice search allows you to give voice command on an Android phone. Voice search is available on all devices running Android 2.3 upwards or iOS devices using the Google Search app. It makes our task easier and simpler.
