ISRO started the Countdown for the launch of Chandrayaan-3 on Thursday evening, scheduling the launch at 14:35 on Friday.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will start on its second attempt to carry out a safe and soft landing of a robotic lander on the surface of the Moon on Friday with the launch of Chandrayaan-3, taken by the LVM3 Rocket by Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota.

The launch is scheduled for 14:35 on Friday from the second launch pad at Andhra Pardesh’s Sriharikota Space center. The countdown of the launch began on Thursday afternoon with the authorisation of the board.
ISRO said that the review of the mission was completed and “the board gave authorisation of the mission.”

The rocket will be fired by twin booster engines, will run on solid fuel at the beginning for the lift- off and for a duration of 108 seconds by a liquid fuel stage for around 90 seconds, before the cryogenic stage starts in after 307 seconds of the flight and will fire for over 10 minutes.
The first part of the Chandrayaan 3 mission will get over nearly 40 days after the launch, with a possible Moon landing scheduled for August 23.
Friday involves the launching of ISRO’s heavy lift LVM3 rocket into space with the Chandrayaan 3 spacecraft, onboard to an altitude of 179.192 km, in a flight spanning 969.42 second (over 16 minutes).

During the second period, the LVM3 rocket will carry its 3895-kg payload using three different rocket power stages with a maximum thrust of 10.242 km/sec (over 36000 km/hr) being provided by the indigenous cryogenic C-25 engine fired on the rocket in the final phase.

If Chandrayaan succeeds with the soft landing, India will become the fourth country to enjoy this achievement. And it will make the whole India proud.
