There is something about the smell and taste of barbecue food that just makes our mouths water. So, what are some of the best-grilled recipes to ace your cooking skills? Here you go! 

  1. BBQ Ribs 

Ingredients:

  • Pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
  • BBQ dry rub or marinade
  • BBQ sauce

Instructions:

Prepare the ribs by removing the membrane on the bone side and then let it marinate in your choice of sauce for at least a few hours or overnight in the fridge for better flavour. Preheat your grill for indirect heat cooking (around 225-250°F or 107-121°C and place the ribs on the grill, bone side down, and cook using indirect heat for a few hours until tender, periodically basting with BBQ sauce. Finish the ribs directly over the heat for a few minutes on each side to caramelize the sauce. Serve with a dash of fresh herbs. 

  • Classic Burger

Ingredients:

  • Veggies or ground beef (if you prefer non-veg) 
  • Salt and pepper
  • Burger buns
  • Toppings of choice (lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, pickles, etc.)

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and put the veggies or beef patty on the grill. The patty is simple to make- just mix all the veggies, and season with salt, pepper and fresh herbs. Next, grill the burgers for about 4-5 minutes on each side and toast the burger buns on the grill for a minute or so. Assemble the burgers with your favourite toppings such as lettuce, cheese, onion and tomato and have it fresh!

  • Grilled Vegetables

Ingredients:

  • Assorted vegetables (bell peppers, zucchini, eggplant, mushrooms, etc.)
  • Olive oil
  • Garlic powder, salt, and pepper
  • Fresh herbs (optional)

Instructions:

Cut the vegetables into even-sized pieces, and make sure to add seasonal veggies to make it even better. Toss the vegetables with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and fresh herbs if desired and preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the vegetables until they are tender and slightly charred. Have this just as it is or mix it with some rice or chapatti.
