‘Tiger Express’ inaugurated by Suresh Prabhu

Aiming to spread awareness among people on tiger conservation, the Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu flagged off a semi luxury tourist train, Tiger Express, from Safdarjung station in Delhi on Sunday.

The Railway Minister flagged-off the train using a remote control from Mumbai on the World Environment Day.

Asserting that the Railways is committed to address environmental issues, the minister said IRCTC will also launch further more tourist circuit trains in the near future.

As per the reports, the semi-luxury train will take guests to the world famous Kanha National Parks and Bandhavgarh in Madhya Pradesh. The itinerary of the Tiger Express is for five-days and six nights and it also includes two Tiger Safaris.

During the trip the train will take passengers to Katni from there will be taken to Bandhavgarh for safari by road.

From there onwards they will be taken to Kanha for another safari. Then the tourists will be taken to famous Dhuadhar Falls in Bhedaghar, Jabalpur, before heading to Delhi.

The tariff structure of the itinerary will be starting from Rs. 38,500.
