PM’s modified appeals for peace in Kashmir

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an event in Madhya Pradesh talked about the current situation in Kashmir and how problems in a democracy can be solved through dialogue. The event where he spoke was the celebratory event to mark 70 years of Independence and the Quit India Movement anniversary.

PM Modi said – “My government believes in Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s mantra of “insaniyat, jamhuriyat and Kashmiriyat.”

He also called for peace and harmony and requested the youth of the country to maintain the place as heaven on Earth.

Modi also went on to say that seeing youths ‘who should have laptops, cricket bats’ being handed stones is very painful.

Modi also requested that all those holding guns in Kashmir should give it up and instead take up ploughs to turn the place greener.
