Under the scheme, all farmers, across the Nation will be issued ‘Soil Health Cards’. These cards carry information about soil management, conservation, and steps to take to maintain and improve it’s fertility.

The information will mention crops, and the micro and macro nutrients needed to ‘feed’ the crops during their growth. This will help the farmers to better understand and nurture their fields, so that they do not get depleted by successive crops. At the same time, this will also improve productivity and yield, thereby helping farmers earn better returns for their efforts.
