The 94th Academy Awards saw some great fashion moments from the best stars in Hollywood as they walked the red carpet in eye-catching gowns. However, American rapper Megan Thee Stallion took our breath away and even delighted many of her desi fans. Megan dressed in a sparkling mermaid blue gown graced Oscar’s red carpet. Well, we are proud to announce that the outfit’s credit goes to Indian designer Gaurav Gupta.

Stallion’s Oscar dress listed itself in the best-dressed category of many fashion critiques. The strapless ensemble with a plunging sweetheart neckline, side cutouts, and a risqué thigh-high side slit baring her legs, and a larger-than-life ruffled train dazzled the Academy Awards Carpet.

India at Oscars 2022: Oscar failed to honour Indian legends; netizens say ‘Communalism rocks!’

‘In Memoriam’ is a tradition at every Oscar ceremony, in which the Academy pays tribute to all of the film personalities we have lost across the globe. Those remembered by the Academy this year began with Sidney Poitier, William Hurt, Ivan Reitman, Sally Kellerman, Betty White, Dean Stockwell, Ned Beatty, and many more. However, Netizens were furious over the Academy as they omitted names of Indian legendary superstars Lata Mangeshkar, as well as Dilip Kumar. The Indian nightingale breathed her last this year whereas Kumar passed away in the year 2021.

However, the British Academy of Film and Television Awards, (BAFTA) 2022 had paid respect to both Kumar and Mangeshkar when it ceremony took place earlier this month.
