Khush Khabri: Kashmir records the highest number of tourists in a decade

Efforts of the government to boost the tourism potential of Kashmir seem to have yielded significant results as the valley recorded the highest number of tourists in a decade in March 2022. For the 1st time in 10 years, around 1.8 lakh tourists visited Kashmir in March.

Recently, the Tourism Department launched the 1st hot-air balloon ride at Zabarwan Park in Srinagar, and there are plans to launch paragliding at all the major tourist destinations across Kashmir.

Khush Khabri: Mumbai gets its 1st transgender toilet

Maharashtra’s 1st public toilet exclusively built for transgender people is set up in the Omble Garden at Aarey in the Goregaon area of Mumbai by Saarthi foundation, an NGO working towards the upliftment of the underprivileged in the health and education sector.

The move is meant to provide a safe space for transgender people and prevent gender discrimination against them.

Khush Khabri: Indians shine at Grammy awards 2022

2 Indian musicians were among the winners at the 64th Annual Grammy awards, given out to musicians in Las Vegas.

Composer Ricky Kej won his 2nd Grammy award for the album Divine Tides. Indian-American singer-songwriter Falguni Shah won her maiden trophy for the Best Children music album.

Bringing joy to their homeland, India’s Para-Paddlers have bagged nine medals at ITTF Fa40 Egypt Para open 2022. India concluded its journey in the tournament with 4 Gold, one silver and four bronze.

Khush Khabri: Andhra Pradesh launches first ‘She Auto’ stands in Tirupati

Ensuring women’s safety, police in Andhra Pradesh’s Tirupati police have established a ‘She Auto’ stand. This move intends to provide safe transportation to women. Three stands have come up in RTC Bus Stand, Mahila University, and Ruia Hospital.

Social media app WhatsApp and non-profit organisation Girl effect are set to launch artificial intelligence (AI) based chatbot ‘Bol Behen’. This move intends to help adolescent girls and young women.
