UK company agrees to four-day-a week Campaign

Hundreds of companies in the United Kingdom have agreed to a permanent four-day work week without cutting pay. The 100 companies employ 2,600 people, but the 4 Day Week Campaign hopes to transform the country.

Supporters of the four-day week claim that the five-day pattern is a relic of an earlier economic era. A four-day week would increase productivity and enable firms to accomplish the same tasks in less time. In addition to attracting and retaining employees, early adopters of this policy found it highly beneficial.

Out of the 100 organisations, Atom Bank and international marketing company Awin, which have about 450 employees in the UK, are the two most well-known companies in the country that have signed up to implement the four-day working week.

According to reports, they have received accreditation from the 4-Day Week Campaign, demonstrating that they have cut staff members’ working hours rather than just packing the same number of hours into fewer days.
