Martin Winterkorn, the chief executive of Volkswagen just resigned and the reason he gave was that the recent events had shocked him and that the company could probably use a new start.
Martin took the whole blame on himself even though, he wasn’t aware on “any wrongdoings ” on his part.
The recent scandal that shocked Volkswagen was that the company admitted to having played with the cars to get it pass the emission tests.
The company has already set aside €6.5bm as compensation that the scandal will cause.
A successor for the post hasn’t be chose yet, but they are soon expecting to announce one.
