The Researchers believe that mechanisms of early insulin treatment for diabetes may create better results. Insulin is a hormone formed by the pancreas that allows the body to utilize Glucose and prevents Blood Sugar Levels from getting too high.
According to Researcher Jay Shubrook, the early insulin therapy protects beta cells in the pancreas that respond to glucose and produce Insulin.”
