“Toys are the basic need for the curriculum activities of a child”, focusing on this particular thought, the Toy Association of India has organized the country’s largest B2B toys exhibition, ‘8th Toy BIZ 2014’. More than hundred companies have participated in this exhibition making it exclusive and one of a kind. Established and popular brands like Motorola, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Ebay etc. have also participated in the 8th Toy BIZ. The fair has been supported by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), Government of India.

The Toy Association of India is the apex body of the toy industry in India, representing over 600 industry members spread across the country. The association has been organizing B2B fairs for the last 12 years and this is the 8th consecutive year that the International B2B fair is being carried out. On July 18th, Mr. Madhav Lal, Secretary of Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Govt. of India inaugurated the event in the presence of Mr. Raj Kumar (President of Toy Association of India), Dr. UditaTyagi (Mrs. India worldwide 2011 & National President- My Clean India) and the other Toy Association members.

According to the association, with every passing day labour costs are increasing in China and the world is looking for alternate options and destinations at large. Moreover, many European and American toy manufacturing companies are finding India which offers cheap labour and good infrastructure as the perfect destination.

On competition with the largest Asian country which is already well set in the Toy market, the President of TAI said, “We do not focus on competing with someone, instead we believe in providing safe and finished products.”

The Chief Guest, Mr. Madhav Lal expressed his joy on being present at the occasion, “I am so glad that I have been invited at India’s largest Toys Exhibition.” He further added, “We have been concentrating on the development schemes for the small and medium industries in India. I and Shri Raj Kumar often discuss about the land in Greater Noida, on which an industry has to be started. And, now finally, the World Bank has given us a loan of two thousand crores with which numerous industries will be started in every corner of the country. You all will definitely get to see some major developments in the next Toy BIZ.”

This 8th Toy BIZ has been themed as ‘Toys of Tomorrow’. It started on Friday July 18th and will continue till July 21st, Monday. Entry is restricted only for people above 18 years of age as this is a Business to Business exhibition.
