The food courts in Shillong, are as vivid as the National Flag which was unfurled in the morning. The sense of dynamic entrepreneurship evident among the youth, the willingness to showcase their skills just like the national flag has various hues.
I must say, the Shillong streets were inlayed with sizzling mouthwatering calories friendly appetizers of all colors, the cravings I felt at every stall was unimaginable. My eyes and mouth open up to various cuisines on display.
The aroma of the charcoal burning barbeque pits added to the atmosphere in the air. From simple bhel puri, the infamous meaty delights rolls or even the simple local cuisine. To even see an elderly couple famously walking in front sharing their stories as they enjoyed their ice- cream in hand. To see the ambience created by these spectators and all filling their stomachs in a one-stop buffet table spread at Kyndhailad point.
