Rama Pandey’s ‘Jaane Apna Desh’ completes 250 episodes



Rama Pandey, who is a writer, director and producer, has successfully completed 250 episodes of her show, ‘Jaane Apna Desh’, produced under her company Montage Films. This television series is known for getting India’s culture, heritage and places to the comforts of your home, on television. It is a travel-log in which Rama Pandey has constantly talked about youth and women empowerment inspiring a lot of the audiences.

To mark the occasion, Rama Pandey also launched two of her recent books ‘Guhar’ and ‘Giraftari’. These books depict the literary side of her personality which has been overshadowed by her film direction, script writing and production of TV series. In ‘Guhar’ Rama Pandey brings to fore the various human emotions in the form of poetry while ‘Giraftari’ is poetic dramatization of Franz Kafka’s ‘The Trial’.


Talking about her book she says, “The books I have written earlier and the book- Kalam se Camera tak, are really different. When I write I visualise it too and since the beginning I wanted to make my writings a visual experience and capture it through camera. For the same, I got training in Holland as director and producer and started my journey.

Adding further she said, “My writings depicts only about the subject. As far as the book is concerned, this book has a message to offer to the youngsters of the India that life is a struggle and there are no shortcuts. Be tolerant and patient. You can be the decider only when you have the courage to make decisions. There is no need to be depressed, learn to live and love every colour of your life.”


The event saw presence of a lot of eminent personalities, like: Piyush Pandey, Dr. Ashok Chakradhar, Dr. Namwar Singh, Prasoon Joshi, Manoj Tiwari and so on.


Speaking on the occasion, Prasoon Joshi says, “In today’s time we need more books because they make you think. When you immediately tweet or message you probably weigh your emotions and do not chisel it. You don’t give it time and in today’s time such efforts are needed. Rama Pandey has never dying spirit and I have known her since a long time. She has always kept on writing and creating and today she has inaugurated another book. In my view, defining a good writer would be difficult however I think you get to know about a good writer when you read them.”


Manoj Tiwari who is quite well known as an artist and is a superstar in Bhojpuri movies shared his political experience with One World News, “My political journey till now has been filled with struggle and overall we can say that till now I have started to understand my challenges. Working as a MP in Delhi with a non-cooperating government isn’t easy however I know that I will win over all my problems.”


Adding to what he is planning in the field of art, Manoj said, “I am also member of cultural committee so we are planning to do lot things in the area of arts and culture. Till now under our government’s rules and regulations, there are pensions, scholarships etc. for an artist however nowhere it is mentioned that who is an artist. So, I am working in that area. It is a big task because till now people were recognised just because of their public’s presence, we will make sure that the work they do in their respective field gets them recognition.”


Concluding the conversation with us, Manoj continued saying, “Rama Pandey has done a great job through her series ‘Jaane Apna Desh’ which is completing 250 episodes tomorrow. She has taken a great step to show people sitting in every corner, the places of India. This is a great job because humans usually believe that the entire world looks like their own state/surroundings, so it is important for people to know their own land, own country. We are called a country which has unity in diversity and through camera she is showing every one of us the diversity of our country. The content of her shows is impeccable and for the same I am really thankful to her.”
