Rahane, Kohli and Ashwin dedicated their victory to victims of Chennai floods

After the historic victory of India over no. 1 team in test, South Africa, Indian crickets dedicated their victory to the victims of the flood-ravaged city of Chennai. More than 200 people have lost their lives due to flood. Due to heavy downpours in the past few weeks, Chennai has been least paralyzed.

Indian test skipper, Kohli said, “I would like to dedicate this victory to the victims of the chennai floods. It had been on unfortunate few weeks. My thoughts go out to all the people who have lost their family members.”

He further said, “For few of our players also, their families were struck in one place for a very long time. For them to come out to play written the same Kind of character is commendable. So yeah, we would like to dedicate this victory to them and I hope it brings joys to them.”

The twin centurion and man of the match in last test match, Ajinkya Rahane also dedicated his award to people of Chennai and the Indian army. He said, “I would like to dedicate this to the people in Chennai, who are suffering from the flood and Indian army who is helping out, this is for them.”

Ravichandran Ashwin, who himself belongs to Chennai, also paid his tribute to the city that had go through a lot of hardships recently and dedicated his man of the series award to people.
