Dil Dhadakne Do, a tale about us



This June, get ready to face the reality of every family where the parents want to get their son married, their daughter to keep the marriage intact no matter what and show a superficial love between them when in public. ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ the most awaited movie of this year is a story about a crazy family wherein love between parents never exists behind the closed door; the children are never given permission to follow their heart but what if they do?


The ensemble cast of the movie includes the ever-graceful Anil Kapoor, the talented Shefali Shah, the trend setters: Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma, the energy packet- Ranveer Singh, the all-rounder Farhan Akhtar and the newbie who gets the chance to launch herself with a dream-film maker and such a big star-cast, Ridhima Sud. Wait, there is more- Rahul Bose, Parmeet Sethi, Vikrant Messey and Zarina Wahab would be seen playing the supporting role.


Anil Kapoor plays the role of Karan Mehra and Shefali Shah plays his wife, Neelam Mehra. Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra play the role of siblings, Karan Mehra and Ayesha Mehra, the children of Mr. And Mrs. Mehra. There were many speculations about the roles been offered to Kareena Kapoor (for the role of sister), Katrina Kaif (for the role of Karan’s girlfriend Farah Ali, which is being played by Anushka Sharma) and Ranbir Kapoor (as Karan Mehra), however, things somehow didn’t work out and the present cast was finally decided. However, the fresh look and all these actors come out to be quite promising and took the excitement to another level.


Scheduled to release on June 5th 2015, the movie has been directed by Zoya Akhtar, whose movies have been received massively at the box-office. The movie is being produced by Riteish Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment. So, keep waiting for another experience to stay with you for long.
