As per the latest research, cooking food from tap water can make it toxic. The researchers have said that cooking with tap water and iodised salt can potentially put dangerous toxins in your food that can lead to further health complication.

Tap water is been disinfected before we use it for cooking or for drinking. That can be done through various processes; one of them is adding chlorine that is made using ammonia.

When that tap water is used for cooking food then chlorine added ion water can react with iodised salt and create an acid called hypoiodous.
