The annual International Yoga Festival is being organized by Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh, India from last 15 years, celebrating Yoga, grounded in its authentic origin. During this one-week Festival, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in over 60 hours of Yoga classes from world-class Yoga teachers in multiple styles of Yoga, including Kundalini Yoga, Power Vinyasa Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, Kriya Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, Reiki, as well as lectures on Yoga, Vedanta, ancient Indian philosophy and Ayurveda.
We believe that Yoga is not merely for our bodies, but rather for our bodies, minds, hearts and souls. Yoga literally means “Union” – union of breath with the body, union of the mind with the muscles, and most importantly union of the self with the divine. It is not a religion and does not require faith in certain God or chanting certain mantras. Yoga is an ancient science, which leads to healthy body, peaceful mind, joyful heart, and liberated soul.
The participants in International Yoga Festival will also be blessed with the presence, satsang and divine words of revered saints and spiritual masters from within India, including H.H. Pujya Shankaracharya Swami Divyanand Teerthji, H.H. Pujya Sri Sri Ravi Shankarji, H.H. Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, H.H. Radhanath Swamiji and H.H. Pujya Mooji.
