The Trust is named Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teertha Kshetra, it will build the Ram Temple in Ayodhya
The Union cabinet cleared the formation of Trust for the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. The Trust is named Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra and will include 15 members of which one will be a Dalit, Union Home Minister Amit Shah informed.
The Supreme court on 9th December ordered the central government to set up a Board for construction of a Ram temple at the site of the demolished Babri Masjid in Ayodhya. In the historic judgment, the top court had also ordered to Uttar Pradesh government to hand over of 5-acre plot to the Sunni Waqf Board for the mosque.
What is the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teertha Kshetra?
The five suits that were filed in the Babri Masjid case also included the birthplace of Asthan Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, Deity itself, Sri Ram Lalla Virajman. This suit was founded on the claim that the law recognizes both the birthplace and the idol as juridical entities. The top court did not accept the Janmasthan as a juridical entity.
The SC awarded the title of the land to Ram Lalla, to be held by the Trust. The Court has said in the judgment that Trust should be set up within the three months. So, the government set up this Trust and named it Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teertha Kshetra.

What SC had said about the Trust?
The top court when delivered its Judgment on November 9, 2019, it directed the Centre to formulate within three months a scheme to set up a “Trust with a Board of Trustees or any other appropriate body” as per The Acquisition of Certain Area at Ayodhya Act, 1993, with powers like the construction of a temple.
The Court used its powers under Article 142 and said that the appropriate representation can be given to Nirmohi Akhara in the Trust.
The SC had also said that the scheme that is to be formed by the central government should take “necessary provisions” about the functioning of the Trust or the body. It also directed the centre to include matters relating to management, necessary incidental and supplemental matters and the powers of trustees in the scheme.
Also, this Trust will get possession of the inner and outer courtyards along with the rest of the acquired land. Now, this will be developed and managed by the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teertha Kshetra.
