NCB has Summoned Ananya Panday and we are like what is happening? Important highlights that you shouldn’t miss!
Aryan Khan, Son of Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan was arrested by NCB on October 3, 2021, in connection with the Mumbai cruise drug case. Since then, a lot has been said and written about Aryan Khan and Shahrukh Khan. Aryan’s bail plea was rejected by the special court in Mumbai on October 20. Now, Aryan’s lawyer has revealed that they will be approaching Bombay High Court to seek relief.
Since the arrest of Aryan Khan, SRK was in touch with him through video calls. During the wee hours of Thursday, SRK made his first public appearance and visited Arthur Jail to meet his son Aryan Khan. Notably, the meeting took place after 14 days of Aryan’s placement in the prison due to arrest by NCB in a drug case. However, as the superstar left the premises he was mobbed by the crowd outside the prison. Notably, the next hearing of the case is scheduled for October 26, 2021.
Mannat wasn’t raided
Post SRK and Aryan Khan’s meeting, news started coming in that Mannat has been raided. However, NCB has now made it clear that they visited Mannat for paperwork and not for the raid. According to an article by the Quint, NCB sources revealed that Whatsapp chats submitted by the agency to NDPS were exchanged between Aryan Khan and Ananya Panday.
Ananya Panday summoned by NCB
The NCB has now summoned Ananya Panday. As per the reports, her name was under the scanner for a few days. Aryan was apparently discussing drugs with a new age Bollywood actress and soon after that, the chats were submitted to NDPS court. The NCB, however, is yet to confirm whether her name is connected to the Aryan Khan case or not?
What’s next and what defence is saying?
The Special NDPS Act court in its 21-page order noted that chats of Aryan Khan revealed that he was dealing in illicit drug activities on a regular basis and therefore it can’t be said that he will not commit the same offense if released on bail. Notably, NCB had previously argued that Aryan Khan is not new to drugs that nothing was recovered from him. However, the defence insisted that NCB doesn’t have any grounds to keep the accused in custody since no drugs were recovered from him. Aryan and this WhatsApp chat only have football-related stuff. The next hearing of the case is scheduled for October 26, 2021.
