Centre Announces Shikshak Parv-2021 to honor the contribution of teachers

To recognize the great service of teachers and to take National Education Policy -2020 a step forward, Shikshak Parv -2021 will be celebrated this year too. It will commence from Teacher’s Day and will continue till the 17th of September through virtual mode, as per the details shared by the Education Ministry. 

India installs its First RDE at ICP at the Attari Border

To strengthen security at the border, India gets its first Radiation Detection Equipment at Integrated Check Post at the Attari Border. 

The device is called a full-body truck scanner. It is an x-ray of a truck to detect any smuggling of arms, ammunition, or other illegal articles. It will keep a close watch on the smuggling of any radioactive materials. Details were shared by Aditya Mishra, Chairman of Land Ports Authority of India. 

IIT-Madras researchers develop techniques to solve the issue of sudden power shutdown

Indian Institute of Technology Madras researchers have developed a new technique that promises to help avoid sudden power shutdowns by making it easier to monitor levels of pollution deposits in power transmission networks.

The team has come up with a new method that can measure the contents and thickness of the deposits remotely. The technique is simple and reliable. It can give accurate results within no time. According to the scientists, the entire length of the transmission line could be monitored for its condition on pollution deposit level in a short time.  

India gives two mobile medical oxygen plants to Bangladesh

The Indian Navy Ship Savitri has reached Chattogram harbour in Bangladesh with two 960 LPM (litres per minute) Medical Oxygen Plants (MOP) to help the neighbouring country. The MOPs gifted by India are developed and manufactured by DRDO to fight against covid-19.  

Through mission SAGAR (Security And Growth for All in the Region) Indian Army is helping other countries in the region.  

India’s merchandise exports surge to 45.17%

India’s merchandise exports in August jumped from $22.83 billion last year to $33.14 billion and 27.5 % over the pre-pandemic level of August 2019 as per provisional trade data released by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

Indian railways record highest freight earnings, loading in August

With impressive efficiency, Indian Railways registered its highest ever freight loading and earning in August.

Indian Railways freight loading during last month reached 110.55 million tonnes which is 16.87% higher compared to August 2020. Indian railways earned over 10,866 crore rupees from freight loading in August 2021. It is 20.16% higher compared to August 2020. 

Health Ministry partners with Google to increase the access of Covid-19 vaccines

India’s covid-19 vaccination drive is gaining momentum as the Union Health Ministry partnered with Google to help people in finding out the nearest vaccination centre.

As per the details shared by Google, starting this week, over 13000 locations across the country. People will be able to get more helpful information about vaccine availability and appointments powered by real-time data from CoWIN APIs. 

Indore becomes first to vaccinate 100% Adult population with 1st dose

Madhya Pradesh’s Indore is hitting the news headlines as it becomes the first district in the country to vaccinate the entire eligible population with the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Of 28,08,212 eligible beneficiaries, nearly 10 lakhs administered both doses. Details were shared by Indore collector Manish Singh.
