1. Mahatma Gandhi let India break in to two countries

It is a very popular belief in north India that Mahatma Gandhi was responsible for the partition of India into two countries. We want to say that Bapu actually opposed the partition of India as it was against his vision of unity among Indians of all religions. He believed that Hindu, Muslims and Sikhs of Punjab, all had a common culture and was against dividing the country on the basis of religion. This is what, Dr Rajendra Prasad, the first president of India said about Mahatma Gandhi’s belief. It was Muslim League and Muhammad Ali Jinnah who wanted a partition in India.

2. Mahatma Gandhi didn’t try to save Bhagat Singh

Mahatma Gandhi never endorsed violence and it is said that he didn’t like Bhagat Singh’s violence way to freedom. In many parts of the country, kids are made to believe that Mohan Das Karamchand Gandhi didn’t want to save Bhagat Singh and his corps from the death penalty.
